Hello, Dear Sojourner!
August is here and, with it, the promise of the harvest season approaching. If you are anything like me, you already bought the first autumn or Halloween decorations in preparation for a holiday season that seems to last forever. In alignment with this month’s theme, I am ready!
In my experience, August carries a particular kind of light. It is the month where summer begins to soften, where the long days invite us to linger yet whisper that change is coming. In the turning of seasons, there is a natural pause—a moment to take stock before we step into what is next.
I have always felt that August holds a quiet invitation: to notice where we stand, to listen for what feels complete, and to ask ourselves what is truly ready to emerge. Not in haste, not because the calendar demands it, but because something within us is aligned enough to move.
Which brings me to our Topic of the Month: Readiness: The Catalyst Between Commitment and Action.
In my own life and in my work with clients, I have come to see that readiness is the often-overlooked bridge between knowing what matters and fully engaging with it. Clarity gives us vision. Commitment gives us resolve. But readiness ensures our steps are timed, grounded, and sustainable. When we honor it, we move forward with integrity and power.
This month, we will explore what it means to honor our readiness, how to recognize it, and how to let it guide us toward the next right step. I will also introduce the SOJOURN™ Readiness Diagnostic—a brief yet powerful tool to help you discover your current stage of readiness and receive a personalized report with insights and a stage-specific reflection tool to support your journey.
So as we step into August together, I invite you to notice the subtle ways readiness may already be speaking to you. What feels in season? What is ripening in your life, and what still needs more time in the sun?
With warmth and in readiness,
